Tiger Prawns with Garlic Butter - Indian Fish Recipes

Ingredients:

  • 500 g - tiger prawns
  • a few - sprigs of parsley
  • 4 tbsp - melted butter
  • 2 tsp - garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp - mustard paste
  • 1 tbsp - lemon juice
  • 8 to 10 - peppercorns (coarsely ground)
  • salt to taste

Method

1. Clean, de-vein and wash the prawns well. Drain thoroughly.
2. Wash and dry parsley. Finely chop the parsley and keep aside.
3. Place prawns, butter, garlic paste, parsley, mustard paste, lemon juice and freshly crushed peppercorns in a microwave bowl.
4. Add salt and mix well. Cook, uncovered on microwave HIGH (100%) for 3 minutes. Serve hot.

Dry Prawns (Sukkha Jheenga) Recipe - Indian Non Veg Recipe

Ingredients:

  • ½ kg - tiger prawns (preferably)
  • 2 bunches - spring onions
  • 4 tbsp - oil
  • 11/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • ½ tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • finely chopped coriander leaves (to garnish)

Method

1. Clean, devein and wash the prawns well.
2. Chop the spring onions into ½ pieces.
3. Retain the stem of one spring onion and chop it finely.
4. Heat oil in a kadai. Add cumin seeds.
5. When the seeds splutter add the spring onions.
6. Fry the onions on a medium flame till golden.
7. Add salt and turmeric powder and saute for 2 minutes.
8. Add prawns, red chilli powder and mix well.
9. Add the chopped greens and mix well.
10. Cook on a low flame, mixing at regular intervals till the prawns are done.
11. Garnish with coriander leaves.
12. Serve hot as a snack.

Fish Tikka Recipe - Seafood Recipes



Ingredients
  • 500 gms fish pieces of any type
  • 150 gms vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp ajwain
  • 45 ml cream
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds powder
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 20 gms flour (beasn)
  • 30 ml lemon juice
  • 5 tbsp mint or coriander chutney
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 onion, chopped in circles.
  • 60 gms curd / plain yogurt
  • Salt To Taste
  • chili powder to taste
Method
  1. Mix cream garlic paste, ajwain , chili powder, cumin seeds powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt, mint or coriander chutney, besan flour in yogurt.
  2. Add fish pieces to the above mixture and mainate them for about 3 hours.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, fry fish pieces on both sides till golden & crisp.
  4. Serve fried fish tikka with chopped onions.

Patrani Fish Recipe - Seafood Recipes



Ingredients
  • 800 gms fish
  • little vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • banana leaves to wrap each fillet
  • 30 ml goundnut oil
  • 3 lemons

For coconut chutney :

  • 100 gms fresh coconut
  • 50 gms coriander
  • 6 green chillies
  • 20 gms garlic
  • 5 gms chilli powder
  • 15 gms coriander seeds
  • 15 gms cumin seeds
  • 60 ml lemon juice
  • Salt To Taste
  • 15 gms sugar

Method

  1. Clean and wash fish.
  2. Make fillets and cut each fillet into two.
  3. Make horizontal slits on the pieces. Sprinkle vinegar and salt and miarinate for 30 minutes.
  4. Trim, wash and wipe banana leaves. Cut coconut into pieces. Clean and chop coriander.
  5. Wash, slit and remove the seeds from the green chillies. Peel garlic.
  6. Now put all these and the remaining ingredients in the mixie to make a smooth paste. Keep aside.
  7. Stuff fish pieces with chutney and spread the rest on both sides. Apply oil on banana leaves and wrap each piece separately.
  8. Steam the wrapped fish pieces for 30 minutes. Cut lemon into wedges.
  9. After 30 minutes, remove fish from steam, unwrap arrange on a platter and serve with lemon wedges.

Fried Fish Recipe - Seafood Recipes




Ingredients
  • 900 gms./ 2lb Fish
  • 1cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 green chili (chopped)
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 black pepper powder
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
For Garnishing :
  • 1 lemon (sliced)
  • 2 tomatoes (sliced)
Method
  1. Wash the fish thoroughly and cut into pieces. Rub the turmeric over the fish pieces with about 1tsp salt and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Rinse the fish under running water.
  3. Mix gram flour, bread crumbs, salt, chili & pepper powder, green chili, coriander and water and form a smooth batter.
  4. Heat the oil in a kadhai or wok .
  5. Coat the fish nicely with batter and deep-fry until golden all over on a moderate heat for about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Serve batter fried fish hot garnished with lemon & tomato slices.

BaccalĂ  Salad recipe - fish recipe

Ingredients


• 1 Pound salt cod, soaked and drained
• 2 cloves garlic, chopped
• 4 tbsp olive oil
• 1 Lemon, juiced
• 1/2 Cup whole cured black olives
• 1 Celery stalk, diced
• 1/2 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
• 1/8 tsp Red pepper flakes

How to make BaccalĂ  Salad:
• Place presoaked codfish in a medium saucepan, add water.
• Bring the water to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes or until the fish flakes easily.
• Remove the cod and drain the cod well.
• In a bowl mix the garlic, olives, celery, and black pepper, red pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil.
• Break the cod apart in medium pieces and add to the bowl.
• Toss the cod with the garlic-olive mixture.
• Refrigerate it for at least one and a half hour before serving.
• Baccala Salad is ready.

Ambot Tik recipe - fish recipes

Ingredients:
• ½ kg Fish Preferably Skate, Shark Or Catfish
• 10 dry Red Chilies
• ¼ tsp Cumin Seeds
• 4 Peppercorns
• ¼ inch piece Turmeric
• 4 flakes Garlic
• ½ inch piece Ginger
• 1 small Tamarind, marble size
• 1 Onion, finely sliced
• 2 tbsp Oil
• Vinegar, optional

How to make Ambot Tik:


• Wash the fish to get rid of foreign particle and then cut it into desired pieces. After that apply salt over it and keep it aside.
• In the meanwhile, put all the ingredients except oil and sliced onions in the grinder and then grind it using little water.
• Take a pan and then fry the onions till it turns brown. Now, add grinded masala in it and fry for a few seconds.
• Now, put a cup of water in the pan and let it boil. When it has boiled, add the fish pieces and let it cook on slow flame until the fish is tender.
• Add salt and vinegar as required.

Allepey fish curry recipe

Ingredients:
• 200 g Sear Fish, cubes
• 40 ml Coconut Oil
• 5 Green Chilies, slit
• 50 g Sambar Onion, sliced
• 10 g Ginger, sliced lengthwise
• 5 g Curry Leaves
• 2 Raw Mangoes, peeled & cut in cubes
• 6 g Turmeric Powder
• 20 g Red Chili Powder
• 200 ml Coconut Milk
• Salt, to taste

How to make Allepey Fish Curry:
• Take a deep pan and heat coconut oil in it.
• Put sliced sambar onion, green chilies, half of sliced ginger, half of curry leaves and peeled raw mango cubes in it.
• Saute well, till the onions turns translucent and mango is easily mashed.
• Add turmeric powder and chili powder to it and mix well again.
• Add salt and water in it and let the spices cook on slow flame.
• Pour coconut milk in it and let it cook for 5 more minutes.
• Now, carefully drop the fish cubes in the prepared mixture and cook till the fish is tender.
• Take a small saucepan and saute the remaining ginger and curry leaves in 1 tbsp of oil.
• Garnish the prepared fish with this mixture and serve hot, with rice.

Ginger Salmon recipe - Recipes for Glowing skin

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup - carrots, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - peas
  • 2 cubes - maggi chicken stock cube
  • 4 slices - salmon or any fish
  • 3 tbsps - olive oil, extra
  • 1 stick - celery chopped
  • 1/2 - each of fresh red, yellow and green peppers, chopped
  • 1 - tomato, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - white flour
For Marinade:
  • 1 cup - fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup - soya sauce
  • 3 tbsp - olive oil
  • 4 sticks - spring onions (chopped)
  • 2 cm - fresh ginger, peeled and crushed
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder

Method

  1. In a large bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients with 1/2 the quantity of fresh coriander.
  2. Add fish slices to it and cover well with the marinade. Keep refrigerated for half an hour.
  3. In a wok, heat the olive oil and fry celery for 3 mins, stirring well.
  4. Add carrots, peas and pepper and cook for 5 mins, stirring well.
  5. Leave on a low heat and pour mixture evenly into a serving dish.
  6. Add the tomato and Maggi Chicken Stock cubes to the same wok and cook for 3 mins.
  7. Add 4 tbsps. of the marinade sauce. Stir well.
  8. Add flour and let the mixture boil and thicken.
  9. Add the rest of the fresh coriander.
  10. Remove from heat and leave to cool.
  11. Heat a clean frying pan and cook the fish slices both sides until tender.
  12. Add 1 tbsp of marinade sauce to it.
  13. Then place the fish slices on top of the vegetables in the serving dish.
  14. Pour tomato mixture on top, garnish with fresh coriander and serve with white rice.

Ingredients for bharwa fish

  • 4 medium herrings (fish)
  • 450 gms / 1/2lb potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed)
  • 1large onion
  • 1tsp grated ginger
  • 1tsp grated ginger
  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 1tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1tbsp lemon juice
  • 1tsp vinegar
  • 3/4th cup gram flour (besan)
  • 50gms / 1/4th cup butter
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1tbsp fresh soft bread crumbs
  • Oil for deep frying
  • For Garnishing :
  • 1tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 lemon (sliced)
  • 4 lettuce leaves

method to prepare bharwa fish

  1. Heat the butter in a frying pan and fry onion until golden.
  2. Add cumin, ginger, salt, green chilies and coriander.
  3. Mix together with the lemon juice, mashed potatoes and vinegar.
  4. Clean and cut herrings and stuff with potato mixture.
  5. Make a batter by beating gram flour, water and bread crumbs together until smooth.
  6. Heat oil in a kadhai / wok.
  7. Dip each fish in the batter and fry until golden & crisp on a moderate heat.
  8. Garnish bharawan macchli (stuffed herrings) with coriander, lemon slices and lettuce leaves and serve hot.
  9. Goes well as a side dish with non- vegetarian menu.

  6. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the fish till golden brown and crisp.

Special tandoori fish

Tandoori is Indian origin style of cooking, here is the simple and easy method to prepare tandoori fish recipe.

to make tandoori fish you will need--
  • 2 lbs of any white fish fillets (cut into 2-3-inch pieces)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh ginger (adrak)
  • 4 cloves garlic (lehsun)
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin (jeera) seeds
  • 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
following is the method to make tandoori fish
  1. Blend together ginger, garlic, vinegar, salt, coriander, cumin, cayenne and oil in the blender to form a fine paste.
  2. Marinate the fish pieces into the paste for about 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Pre-heat the oven on maximum heat at broil.
  4. Cover the oven tray with foil to avoid mess.
  5. Place the marinated fish pieces on the tray and broil for about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Turn over and broil for about 8 minutes again.
  7. Keep a constant check. Broiling time may vary depending on the thickness of fish pieces.
  8. Serve the tandoori fish hot with your favorite chutney.

required ingredients are as follows

  • 1 kg white fleshed fish
  • 250 gms tomatoes blanched & diced
  • 2 tbsp beaten curd
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 6 flakes garlic
  • 2 cloves
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • small piece cinnamon bark
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 cardamom
  • 1 onion
  • few mint leaves
  • 1 slice bread soaked & squeezed dry
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 8 green chillies
  • small bunch coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • oil to fry
  • Salt To Taste

follow the step by step method to make fish kofta curry

  1. Boil the fish and remove the bones nicely.
  2. Mince the small onion, 4 green chilies, mint, coriander leaves and blend with the fish along with bread, salt and garam masala powder.
  3. Knead to a smooth mixture, form into small balls and deep fry to a golden brown colour. Drain and set aside. Pound together the remaining spices to a fine powder.
  4. Grind onion, ginger and garlic to a paste. Heat 3 table spoons of ghee and fry the ground paste to a golden brown colour.
  5. Put in spices and fry for a couple of seconds, then put in tomatoes and curd.
  6. Cook till the ghee floats to the top. Put in 2 cups of water, mix nicely and cook over a low fire till all the liquid dries. Mash to a smooth paste with the help of a wooden spoon and then pour in 2 more cups of water.
  7. Bring to a rolling boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  8. Put in the fish balls and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  9. Serve fish kofta curry hot garnished with coriander leaves.

Ingredients required for Indian Fish Curry is as follows:
  • 250 gms fish washed, sliced (as per your choice)
  • 1 cup coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tomatoes finely chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 1 tsp methi seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • A pinch turmeric powder

  2. Shallow fry the fish pieces, drain and keep aside.
  3. Grind the coriander leaves, garlic and green chillies.
  4. Heat oil, add masala paste and fry till the oil separates out.
  5. Add tomatoes, methi seeds and powder masalas and fry till the oil begins to float on top.
  6. Add about 1 cup water. Bring the gravy to a boil.
  7. Add the fish slices and cook for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve fish curry hot.

Yogurt Fish Recipe - Indian Fish

To make yogurt fish recipe you will need following ingredients
  • 500 gms fish (as per choice)
  • 2 cups curd blended smooth
  • 4 tbsp mustard oil
  • a little flour
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon
  • 1 cardomom
  • 2 ginger grounded to paste
  • 1 onion grounded to paste
  • 2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cummin powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt To Taste
Following is the step by step method to make yogurt fish recipe
  1. Cut fish onto cubes, or as traditional cross-section.
  2. Roll pieces separately in flour.
  3. Heat 2 Tbl.sp oil.
  4. Fry fish till pale golden.
  5. Drain and keep aside.
  6. Add remaining oil and fry bay leaf, cardamom and cinnamon.
  7. Add ginger, onion, chilli powder turmeric and cummin.
  8. A little water may be added if it becomes too dry.
  9. Fry for a while.
  10. Add blended curd.
  11. Simmer on slow fire till oil comes up on top.
  12. Add fish with a little water,salt and sugar.
  13. Simmer till gravy is thick golden.
  14. Serve yogurt fish with plain rice.
